Why I became a Christian.

My children were instrumental in my becoming a Christian.

While we were settling here in Hoylake after several years away, I decided that my daughters should go to Sunday School at Hoylake Chapel. Just as I had gone as a child. While I could enjoy a peaceful hour at home. Church would help instill values that I believed were important for them to have.

At first I felt I had to go with them, but I didn't need to become a Christian, it wasn't something that was for me - I thought I was fine. However within a short time I was no longer attending just to bring the children, I felt I was changing, and gradually I became convinced of the path I wanted to take.

The thought of discussing my feelings was intimidating, but once I'd let them know in my church, I felt as though a weight had been lifted from me and I came to the decision to be baptized.

Having a faith has not outwardly changed my life. The kids are still fighting, I swear when I shouldn't, there never is enough money and the bills keep rolling in, but now I know we'll be fine.
